Lawrenceburg School Administrators and other Supervisors are meeting this week to develop plans following Spring Break on March 30th. Staff and parents will be informed on Friday of these plans so parents have enough time to plan accordingly.

Even though the coronovirus is not an immediate threat in our community, Mrs. Palmer, Corp Head Nurse, has provided the attached info to be aware of and how to prevent it. We will continue to follow any guidelines set forth to help ensure the health and safety of our community.


Bus #2 is going to be running late in Hidden Valley Lake for the GMS/LHS Route. She is stopped on Hickory waiting for a salt truck.

Excited to listen to band students come together from all over Southeastern Indiana (EC, JCD, Lburg, Milan, N Decatur, RS, SD, S Riley and Switzerland Co) to form the Southeastern IN Honor Band who have been practicing together the past 2 days.


The 2020 Census begins in just a few short weeks. Please be looking for your invitation in the mail March 12-20. You will have the option to respond by phone, internet or mail. Please participate as the data helps support federal funding for our schools. #HoosiersCountIN2020


The fire alarms went off at GMS just before 10 am requiring us to evacuate to LHS while the fire department checked the building. It was a smoke head in the cafeteria. Everyone has returned safely to GMS.

Reminder, tomorrow is an eLearning Day for Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation (students do work at home on their school devices while staff have Professional Development at school) and there is no school on Monday for President’s Day holiday.

Bus #3 is running a little late this morning (Monday) on the middle/high school route due to mechanical issues. A sub bus is on its way to replace it on the route near Keller Rd.

The GMS flagpole door will be open this morning for student drop offs.

Lawrenceburg School will remain on 2 HOUR DELAY today, Friday, February 7, 2020. There will be limited bus service this morning to county roads (Horizon Way, Lexington, Hillcrest and Keller). Students can meet the bus at St. Rt. 48 for transportation or be dropped off at school.

The lockdown has been lifted for Lawrenceburg Schools as police believe the suspect has fled the area.
